The Courses: Emergency Responders

Emergency vehicles must be driven in all conditions: on rainy nights, foggy days, under whiteout snow conditions. Aircraft emergencies require the quickest response possible. Getting to the scene to save lives is paramount.

The driver usually has two roles: being a professional driver and as an emergency response professional. These courses help to increase the driver’s knowledge, skills, and confidence so they will be more able to focus on the job at hand: saving lives and protecting property.

Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Emergency Vehicle Operation

  • This course teaches driving techniques for the safe movement of specialized equipment required for ARFF functions anywhere.
  • Through classroom and track sessions, student drivers learn how to operate vehicles safely and efficiently when speed of response and off-road performance is paramount.
  • Through the use of our low-speed high-stress methods, students gain increased confidence in their ability to apply efficient driving techniques and operate a variety of specialized ARFF vehicles.
