The driver's function is often specialized in fields not related to driving. The vehicle may only be a means of transportation to perform some other duty elsewhere or to carry the necessary equipment for the driver to perform their primary task. Our courses address the need to operate the vehicle safely and efficiently, instilling confidence and control in the driver’s task.
Commercial Vehicle Safe and Efficient Operation
- This course recognizes that commercial vehicle drivers are professionals and are held at a higher standard than the typical roadway user. This course provides the advanced training to increase command of the vehicle and reduce the risks encountered on the roadways.
- The course includes a special focus on acceleration, braking, and cornering and the dynamics of controlling a bus, people transport vehicle, or carrying a variety of loads.
- Drivers learn efficient techniques that help to reduce fatigue concerns, as well as decreasing fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
- Through the use of our low-speed high-stress methods, students gain increased confidence in their ability to apply efficient driving techniques and operate a variety of specialized commercial transportation vehicles.
